#2, So you want to write an article.
February 7, 2010 4:04 pm UncategorizedYou have done some research, have an idea about your niche and figure that you are ready to write you article. But lets pause for a minute. Have we considered all the fact and are we really ready? Lets start a check list to be sure we have everything ready. Ok!
1. Research ?
2. Niche ?
3. Title ?
4. Purpose
5. Selling
6. Informational
7. Other?
These are just a few thing to think about. Maybe purpose should have been the first thing for you to have thought about. Write down on your research paper what you think now is your purpose. Have you covered all of them in doing your research? Are you sure what your niche is.
You can have more then one, in fact more likely you will have more as you grow in your writing.
Purpose covers many things. So write down what your purpose is.
Are you trying to sell something? Is it an item that you use? Are you an affiliate and are trying to sell someone else is item? Most every one who goes on the internet is either looking for a certain item or just information. No matter which it you have to sell it to him. He not going to be an easy sell. Even if you have the exact item he wants, you are going to have to sell him.
Michael Masterson wrote in an article.
The Three Fundamental Rules of Sell are
1. People don’t like the idea of being sold.
2. People buy things for emotional, not rational, reasons.
3. Once sold, people need to satisfy their emotional decisions with logic.
So you can see that you don’t have an easy job. Even if you have what they want you have to sell them They can go looking somewhere else. How many times have you see something on the internet and figured that maybe you could find it somewhere else. I would say that 9 times out of 10 you have to SELL them. You would not think that emotions are involved but they are.
Color, size, need or some other thing becomes involved.
Ok, so you sold them! You think your job is done. No! You have to prove to them that is just what they want. This would certainly be involved if you sold them something informational.
So you have a ebook that you are selling. You told them all about it and they bought it. They find that it isn’t what wanted or they don’t like it. Do you think that they are going to buy another from you? So you see that what ever you are trying to do, just an article, information, or a product. You are selling something. YOU ARE SELLING YOU.
